Global Coffee Platform: Reforming a multi-stakeholder strategy for transformative change

The request: Global Coffee Platform (GCP), the major multi-stakeholder platform in the coffee sector that drives farmer prosperity and combats environmental damage, asked us to devise their new strategy. The GCP requested us to help develop a 5-year strategy in collaboration with Altruist Partners.

Activities: Based on an in-depth competitor and service analysis, we devised value propositions of the GCP towards a diverse set of stakeholder groups, including; industry, NGOs, governments and farmers. We conducted extensive stakeholder management which created  buy-in for the strategy with the team, Board, members, partners and donors.

We applied our experience with accelerating systemic sustainability transitions in the coffee sector to questions specific to the GCP. This allowed us to co-develop a strategy that is innovative yet feasible for the organization.
